The other day when we were shopping in Niamey we saw some good looking watermelon at the veggie stand on the side of the road. Izzy has never had it before & we were 100% positive that she would love it. Plus, she just so happened to be wearing her watermelon outfit. We cut it open, tried to get out as many seeds as we could, took a little taste (since you need to do that with all foods for your kiddos, right?) and it was delicious. We decided to take this little watermelon party outside & make it a watermelon tailgate party. We just knew Izzy would love this sweet, delicious slice of heaven! Boy were we wrong!
It took a little convincing to get her to even approach it (which it NEVER does with food).
And this was as much of the watermelon as she ever tasted. She took a little lick & decided to be done with it. Instead, she went after the watermelon seeds ... which she seemed to enjoy better. Kudos to Mark for at least snapping this picture since it didn't last long at all!
