chef GB

Anyone that knows my dad will know that he's an excellent cook & grill master. I think it was probably 2 days after getting off the plane that Mark & my dad went to one of the local markets to buy an "African" grill. My dad knew that he just couldn't go 4 weeks without grilling ... & well, we really didn't want him to either! You may also remember the lengths to what we did in Ayorou in order to partake of my dad's grilling ... desperate times call for desperate measures people!

Luke taking his turn to learn the tricks of the trade of becoming a grill master. GB has taught this lesson to every one of his grandchildren. And will you check out that high quality grill? Only the best in Niger ... one of a kind, I tell you!

The men doing a little grilling for Luke's birthday party!

Even Luke loved the grilled meat ... with all of his 2 teeth! Yum-o!

GB is not just limited to the grill. He's also a master chef of omelets. I would have loved to have shown you an actual picture of the omelet but I ate mine so fast that it was gone by the time someone returned with the camera. Oh well! Clean plate award for me!

GB helping out in the kitchen to get ready for Luke's birthday burger bash! (Oh I totally just came up with that! That would've been a great tag line for his invites! Aww man!)

We had a little shin dig for our national & Brazilian partners during GB & Bebe's first week. Dad volunteered (okay, so we volunteered him) to grill the meat ... all 17 pounds of it!

See that meat tray in the middle? It went fast!!!

And this is what we all think about GB's grilling skillz! It's just so good we have no words ... just the remnants of what's left on our face & hands!
