After having our first meal in America, a delicious & nutritious
breakfast, we decided to forego what our bodies wanted (more sleep at the hotel) and opted to find something to do to try & stay awake til at least lunch time. We stumbled upon a great find in Richmond, Virginia known as The Children's Museum. We were a little skeptical at first thinking that a children's museum could entertain Isabelle for 2-3 hours but we were quickly proven wrong. We just wish we could've stayed longer!
This was the first thing that grabbed Izzy's attention. It was a maze of hoses with high pressure air flowing through them. After she put a fuzzy ball in the first chamber, it would shoot out about 3 feet from her. She would just laugh & jump around & want to do it over & over again!
This was the next stop ... a dinosaur slide. Isabelle loves to slide!
On to the farmer's market. Isabelle knows all about shopping for fresh fruit & veggies. I think she was a little confused that she didn't have to argue for a good price!
She didn't quite grasp the idea of just sticking her head out ... but a cute picture nonetheless.
If you know anything about the Belle, you have to know that she LOVES water. L-O-V-E-S! The girl wants to take a bath every night & never ever wants to get out of the tub. So imagine how happy she was that the museum had a water play station.
She also had her turn at learning some banking skills. I think she like handling all that money!
More shopping!
The day we were at the museum was a special "SNOW" day. They had brought in fresh snow for kids to play in, had free snow cones & a set up for cookie decorating. This was Isabelle's first feel of snow ... she didn't like it too much!
She did like driving the tractor though!
She looks interested in the snow cone here but let me tell you, she was not. It's crazy ... she loves to eat ice & she loves sweets but combining the two? She had nothing to do with it! Oh well, a free snow cone for Mama!
Cookie decorating? She had no problem with it at all!
Not one little problem
Yep, no problem. Even had to strip her jacket off because she was having so much fun!
And, of course, we finished the day at the museum with another slide!
