In April, Mark had to speak at a week long set of events in Lexington, Ky. The coordinators were so kind to put us up in a missions house so that the whole family could come along. Mark's parents were able to join us for a few days & his grandparents even stopped in for a visit on their way to northern Kentucky from Florida! Most of his engagements were in the evening, so we had the days free to play! We hit up the Children's Museum in Lexington (which is fantastic, by the way) & also Ramsey's. Shame on you Lexington people who never told me about that gem of a restaurant!

The Children's Museum in Lexington (I forget it's actually name ... sorry!). I was a little apprehensive about taking a barely 2 year old to a museum but it was perfect. Isabelle loved everything ... especially the water!

Luke was so itty bitty then. He spent most of that day asleep in his sling or his Gaga's arms. Try & get that boy to sleep in your arms now ... ha, good luck!

Making music with a flip flop! Who knew? There were so many exhibits that were just as fun for Mark & I as it was for Isabelle. There was one where you could make HUGE bubbles, one with some sort of lights that would freeze your shadows, one where you spun around & around & around (I forget the point of that one) ... seriously, hit this place up if you are in or around Lexington!

They had an entire section dedicated to other regions of the world. They even had a mud house with pictures of African women. This little set up was to represent areas from the Pacific Rim. Isabelle & I were enjoying ourselves a cup of tea. This is where she first learned to make noises for pouring & slurping "pretend tea." And she still loves to have "tea" til this day!
